The classification used by the BBS/SA presented problems that led UIS libraries to use variants. The work, which began in early June 2025, aims to define a new classification that can be shared by all libraries interested in karst and the underground environment. This project is a key element in the effort to create a global digital library on karst and the subterranean environment. Le travail qui a été initié début juin 2025 a pour objectif de définir une nouvelle classification qui pourra être commune a toutes les bibliothèques qui s'intéressent au Karst et au milieu souterrain.
